Festivals of Arunchal Pradesh

Choekar is one of the popular festivals of Arunachal Pradesh which is celebrated at the time of agricultural activity. In this festival supernatural protection is seeked for the protection of crops and harvests. Losar is another major festival of Arunachal Pradesh also known as the New Year festival. On this festival, people clean their homes and discard old things.

Arunachal Pradesh also celebrates a monastic festival like Torgya that is celebrated every year from the 28thday of the eleventh month of the lunar calendar for consecutive three days. Monpa is a colorful festival related to agricultural practices. Then, there is Saga Dawa, which is a Buddhist holy festival.
