Delhi, being the capital city of India, reflects cultural diversity. There are people from different states residing here, making it rich in culture. People from all over the country and abroad come to stay here for educational purposes, medical aids, career building, and so on. The old city still reflects the ancient times through its buildings and traditions, the lifestyle here is also modern and chic. There are Qawwalies at the Nizamuddin Shrine while there are Gurbanis at the Gurudwaras. You can witness prabhat pheries being organized in different parts of the city and there are also the Masses in churches every Sunday. You can also listen to bhajans and kirtans from the temples.

The regional festivals like Durga Puja and Chhath Puja are celebrated at large scale in the metropolis cosmopolitan city. The city hosts trade fair in November every year to promote national and international trade while it also organizes the Surajkund handicraft Mela in February every year to promote the traditional products of the country. The culture of Delhi is highly influenced by the neighboring states of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
