Considered as one of the most beautiful Indian states, Karnataka has a huge coastal belt. Its southern part experiences a hot climate, while its northern part experiences a semi-arid and tropical climate.

Winters here begin in January and lasts till February. Then, comes the summers, between March and May. Monsoon season in Karnataka starts in October and lasts till December. Tourists are advised to avoid touring this state between April and May, which are the hottest months here.

July, August and September, are the three comfortable months in this state with a tolerable temperature, though high humidity. In summers temperature soar as high as 40 degree Celsius, while in winters, it drops as low as 6 degree Celsius.

The best time to visit Karnataka is between September and February, when the climate is semi arid and hot. Due to its coastal location, Karnataka experience mostly a hot and rainy tropical monsoon climate.
