Food delicacies are not a matter of concern. The coastline ensures the presence of fish and coconuts. Chicken and Beef is widely available. Vegetarian dishes are available for those who prefer strict vegetarian diet. The rich spice cultivation has its influence in the taste on all meals.

The taste of Kerala coffee is a common desire for all. A majority of people of Kerala normally prefer to have rice and fish. Food taste desired is hot, spicy, fresh, and flavored. The traditional food available at Kerala is a delicacy for many. Some popular dishes are: Puttu, Desserts – Payasam & 'Palppayasam', Malayali Chicken, Papaddam.

Tourists can desire food during breakfast. A normal breakfast may be a puttu, where rice powder and grated coconut steamed together. This can be in the form of Idli, Dosa, Appam.

Gourmets do not mind to have a taste of sadya, the typical Kerala feast. Food is served on a banana leaf. Vegetarians prefer to have Sambar & Rasam, Pachadi & Kichadi, Payasam. Non vegetarian prefer Pathiri, Biriyani – a mix of rice and meat with spices, Fish dishes like fish molee, Sweet dishes like achappam and cheeda.
