People of Meghalaya are well aware of how to celebrate occasions. Plan a tour to this Indian state to be a part of its various colorful festivities. This state is a home to various tribes and therefore many regional and tribal festivals are celebrated here. Take for instance; Nongkrem Dance is celebrated in the month of October or November by the Khasi tribes.

Then, in July, people of Meghalaya celebrate Behdienkhlam, which is one of the popular festivals of the Jaintia Hills. With October comes the time to celebrate Wangala by the Garos. April is the month, when the people of Meghalaya celebrate Shad Suk Mynsiem. The famous Laho Dance is celebrated in the Jaintia Hills in the month of July.
