When in Shillong, you can visit the beautifully maintained Lady Hydari Park. This part is best to be explored between April to October. Don’t dare to miss out watching the spectacular Shillong Peak, with its height of 1965 meters above sea level.

You can also plan an excursion to the wettest place on the earth, Cherrapunjee, which is located at a distance of 55 km from Meghalaya. Apart from it, Mawsynram, Jakrem, Jowai in Jaintia Hills, Tura in Garo Hills, Nartiang and Monoliths in Khasi Hills are also good excursion points from Meghalaya.
