Tourists planning to go on a tour to Mizoram get the opportunity to celebrate its various colorful festivals. All the festivals are celebrated here with pomp and show. People here are proud of their cultivation and therefore many festivals that are celebrated here are related to the cultivation period.

Mim Kut is one of the popular festivals celebrated in Mizoram that comes in the harvesting season of maize crop. All the dead ancestors are also worshipped during this festival. Then, there is the Pawl Kut festival that is celebrated in the months of December and January.

When the bamboos and trees are kept for drying, then there is the occasion to celebrate the Chapchar Kut festival in Mizoram. Apart from it, there is Thalfavang Kut festival that is celebrated with enthusiasm in Mizoram after the weeding of the crop land is finished. Since most of the people here are Christians, Christmas is also celebrated in Mizoram.
