Situated in a hilly region, Mizoram enjoys a pleasant weather almost round the year. The state mainly has two seasons, including, winters and summers. In summers, the temperature here can rise up to 21 degree Celsius, while in winters, it drops as low as 11 degree Celsius.

Mizoram is drenched with rain between June and August. Annual rainfall received here is about 3000mm. Monsoon is responsible for influencing the temperature in Mizoram. Located at a high altitude of 900m, Mizoram is never too hot to make it unbearable for tourists.

The best time to visit Mizoram is between November and March, when the temperature is neither too hot nor too cold. You can carry all kinds of clothes while traveling to Mizoram. Tourists are advised to avoid traveling to this Indian state between March and April, when the state receives maximum rainfall.

Due to the pleasant weather, this state has a rich flora and fauna. Blue sky, green surroundings and misty wind, are the things that describe the climate of Mizoram in short and simple way.
