Known for its brave people and colorful festivals, Nagaland is a state worth exploring during a tour. People of Nagaland surely know how to celebrate occasions with great pomp and show, Most of their festivals are tribal festivals due to the presence of many tribes there.

The Ao tribe loves celebrating the festival called, Moatsu, which is celebrated in the first week of May. They sing the Moatsu song and dance to celebrate this festival. Apart from it, they set a big fire. Then, there is Tsungrem Mong, another festival celebrated by the Ao tribe in the month of August.

The Pochury tribe loves celebrating the Nazu festival. This occasion is celebrated with dance performance by the people of Nagaland. Colorful attires are worn on this occasion with glittering accessories. With the month of February comes the Sekrenyi festival in Nagaland.

Tuluni is a popular festival of the Sumi Nagas in Nagaland. This festival is celebrated in July and is celebrated with grand feasts including rice beer and other specialties. Yemse, Hornbill and Bushu are some other popular tribal festivals of Nagaland.
