The climate in the State of Rajasthan, which lies on the Western border of India, is divided into four seasons: Monsoon, Pre-monsoons, winter and Post-Monsoon. The months from April to June are classified as the pre-monsoon seasons, and are the hottest in the year. The temperature is slightly mild at the eastern border of the state, which it gets harsh as we move westward.

The climate in Western Rajasthan may rise to as high as 48C. Mt. Abu is one of the coolest places of the States. Strong winds, also known as ‘andhis’, often carry dust storms and blow from the west. The season from July to September sees increase in the humidity level. The temperature decreases but you may get uncomfortable due to the constantly presence of humidity.

The winter seasons sees a lot of various across the eastern and western borders of the state. Many cities experience a 0C climate across Rajasthan. The state is very dry throughout the year. Nights may be chilling, while days may be very warm. The contrast in temperature is not a very uncommon phenomenon here. The lack of trees and mountains has caused the desert to grow thus changing the weather of a region.
