The Rajagopuram is the world’s largest functioning Hindu temple and the tallest Gopuram in the world. The Cholas have also built the Brihadishwara temple in Thanjavur. Mahabalipuram which is also locally know as Mamallaburam consist varieties of huge and ancient monuments along with the Shore temple. In the heart of Tirunelveli we have largest Shivji temple. Madurai is the home to one of the grandest Hindu temple in the world – Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple.
