Uttar Pradesh is one of the biggest and diverse states in India. Geographically located in north India, it shares borders with Nepal. The state is the biggest travel destination of India, with many tourists, both International and domestic visiting the state. The prime attractive in the state is the world renowned Taj Mahal.

Hills, trees, rivers all adorn the vast state. The Ganga flows through the state; moreover Varanasi the holy city of the Hindus is in the state. Thousands of Hindus bathe in the Ganga or simply visit the city every year. UP is one of the most populated states in the world, and is the cultural junction on the Hindu and the Muslim culture.

The Ganga has thrown its blessing on the state. The state is also very important from the point of politics. Hindi is the language that is spoken in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh by name means the ‘northern state’. It is interesting to know that Lord Buddha was raised in the state. Hindus, Muslims, Jains, Christians are spread all over the state and live in harmony. The important cities in Uttar Pradesh are Lucknow, Agra, Varanasi, Muradabad etc. The state is booming so far as business is concerned, as many companies are establishing factories in Uttar Pradesh.
