The cuisine is Uttar Pradesh is very rich. Owing to the assimilation of diverse cultures within the state, the state boasts of a diverse platter as well. The food assumes a very important part in the culture so much that one simply cannot discuss about the culture without food.

The taste buds of the people of Uttar Pradesh and titillated by rich and spicy food dishes. Kababs, Nihari, Biryani, the dishes which are famous all over India, bear their origin mark in Uttar Pradesh. The palate is meat based due to a lot of Muslim influence.
