The size of the state is so big that the weather conditions vary at different ends. Eastern Uttar Pradesh experiences temperate weather in Uttar Pradesh while Western UP experiences extreme weather conditions. The weather in Bundelkhand and Agra zone is semi-arid. It is virtually impossible to categorize the state into a fixed climate pattern. The state is in north India and hence the winter tends to be chilly and the summers tend to be quite hot.

Weather in the summer season: The summers are hot; the temperature gets lower and lower as we head towards east Uttar Pradesh. The day time temperature is as high as 45C. Nights are a little cold and may be as low as 28C owing to the blowing wind. The formation is dew is not a rare sight in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Weather in the winter season: The temperature at the daytime is around 24C and at night as low as 2 or 3 C is not unheard of. Eastern UP again tends to remain wormer than the rest of the state. The mercury dips below the freezing point in countries like Varanasi and Allahabad. This season lasts from mid November and countinues upto February end.
