Enjoy celebrating different festivals in the beautiful state of Uttarakhand in India. This state knows how to make mirth in social and cultural festivals. People of Uttarakhand start their year by celebrating Basant Panchami at the arrival of the spring season. Then, they celebrate Bhitauli in the month of Chaitra by gifting gifts to near and dear ones.

Phool Dei is another popular festival of Uttarakhand that is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month in mid-March. On this day, young girls conduct a number of unique ceremonies. Then, comes Makar Sankranti that is celebrated by dipping in the sacred rivers like Ganga.
