Set up in the northern India amidst nature’s bounty, Uttarakhand is rightly considered as “devbhumi”. Various tourists visit this state every year and get mesmerized not only by its attractions but also by its climate. This state enjoys mainly three seasons, including, summers, winters and monsoons.

Winters here last between December to February. Monsoon showers take place in Uttarakhand between July and August. Tourists are advised not to plan a tour during the rainy season, as many roads are blocked due to landslides. Summers here are from March to May with maximum temperature not exceeding 25 degree Celsius.

In winters, the temperature falls as low as 15 degree Celsius. Since, Uttarakhand is situated in the mountain range, the climate here is influenced with the monsoon taking place due to the Himalayan range. Most of the year, the temperature in Uttaranchal is cold and pleasant.

The best time to visit Uttarakhand is between April to June and between September to November, when the climate here is favorable. Those interested in trekking and visiting pilgrimage sites can explore this state between April to October.
