The culture of the state of West Bengal is both colorful and vivid. Modern thoughts and culture has sprung from the great reformers like Vidyasagar and Ram Moham Roy. The diversity within the state makes it an interesting place for any tourist especially if learning the local cultures are important to him.

‘West Bengal’ lives both in its past and present. Though the traditions and cultures have not gone yet, the modern thinking has been rooted due to work of reformers and due to development.
